I'm sure I miss some good things that way, but miss a lot of junk and commercials too, which I don't mind! :-) I have a little portable DVD player and watch my movies on that. It's really helpful with my vision problems too. I can have it right in front of my face! I've heard interesting things about Game of Trhones. I didn't realize there were books too! I find that I get so much more from reading (or listening) the books. That being said, I finally finished the Game of Thrones books and want to watch the series. I also am a bit of a purist and never like how movies change the book. I've also gone off movies in the last year or so and don't watch a lot any more. However, I did see the preview of Far From the Madding Crowd recently, and thought it looked good. I think I will add the book to my reading list based on your recommendation and A Little Chaos as well! Thank you! I enjoyed this "reflection" although not jewelry related.
