When I find myself inspired by something, it's usually COLOR!
I keep a section on my Pinterest page just full of color combinations that inspire my jewelry making! Even in the other sections of my Pinterest page, you'll find that COLOR abounds! (I invite you to take a look and follow any or all parts that inspire YOU!)
Check out the "Color Wheel Primer" on HGTV website! |
I love bright colors, pastels, muted colors, light grays and tans and the many shades of white!
You'll see a lot of architecture and sites from around the world in those Pinterest photos! A lot of the colors I love come from nature, especially flowers. Those are the photos I'm most apt to take myself.
I got a pretty Mother's Day bouquet Sunday, and just had to snap a few photos to share!
And a few more flowers--carnations, which are not everyone's favorite, but they are one of mine--and spirea from our garden!
A few years ago, I posted a bouquet and had a jewelry-design blog hop. I'm not going to be so formal this time, but I do hope the flower photos inspire a creation of your own. **If you make something and would like to share, please send (or link to) a photo and I'll be happy to post!**
Thanks and Happy Designing!

Beautiful flowers!
I'm with you, color is definitely a big motivator for me. I'm also becoming more and more inspired by structural designs, and how I can translate them to beads! :)
I love color too!! Those flowers are so pretty that I might just have to create something using that palette. TFS

I think I have a bead that sports all those colors, but I don't have a photo handy. I will look for it and share it later, though. :) Thanks for sharing and what beautiful bouquets you received!
This is a bead with a rose, but I think the colors are spot on. :)

Thank you all for your wonderful comments! It's always a delight when you reply!
Thank you, Natalie, for sending us this link! I've started my next blog entry and I'm going to include this!
Shelley and all, if you would like to send me something you've made, I'll be happy to include too! You don't have to make it especially for the event. If you have one you've already done, I'd be happy to post too!
Beautiful flowers - a sure inspiration! Colours are a great source for me too, anything snapped from the nature is usually wonderful.
That bouquet is definitely inspiring! I think I may have done a set of commission beads here lately that would fit in. I'll see if I can find a photograph of them.
Thank you, Alicia! And Cecily, I would love to include your photos in my next post!
