I'm not even sure what some of these tiny purple flowers are.
I have a hunch I planted the ones under the tree
--such as this variety--as tiny bulbs.
#13: One "just opening" up!
Others grow wild in the grass.
(Although these three lined up so neatly in a row,
I could not have planted them this well!)
Lilac bushes (from the neighbors yard....sh....)
I have bushes on both sides of the house,
but mine were not in bloom nearly so well as theirs!
The miniature Japanese Maple just keeps "morphing!"
Yellow tulip.
Red tulip!
(Sounds like a Dr. Seuss book!)
Ah, how did that get in there!
The Vinca again, same as last week, ...
but do you notice one difference?
(Answer at bottom of page.)
It's not just me, you know--
Spring is in the air
over at Studio Waterstone!
Please visit the other "i heart macro" photos!
(Answer: I wish I could do the text upside down....
The water hose has been brought out for the season!
It's already getting dry out from the early heat!)
Have a good week!

Such pretty little flowers. Lovely images.
Hi Sharyl, it's me your camera-clicking buddy in Australia! Loving that you're getting a taste of spring now, while we've just turned back the clocks this morning so the evenings close in an hour earlier! It all becomes a little confusing; I wish we could just keep those clocks where they used to be. Enjoy the warmer months ahead.
these are all so beautiful, but the tulip shots!!! those are so fantastic! they really inspire me. Happy Spring!
Such lovely shots of spring! It's starting here too...we had a huge teaser last week, this week it's been more of a cold, raw early spring week.
Hi Sharyl, Those are all beautiful shots of the lovely flowers in your yard. I love the shot of the wild violets so pretty all in a row.
Therese
Thanks, Therese! Now that you call them "wide violets," it's like I knew that all along! ha! They do look just like violets, but I never thought of it!
Thanks to all for the kind words.
Carole, finally our turn for Spring, but you can show us Fall now! It's fun having opposite seasons for the photos!
Such beautiful photos! Happy Spring :)
Love, love, LOVE that one that is 'just opening'...it's almost like a small, infant's hand all curled up reaching for someone to grab for protection.
HAPPY TRAILS TO YOU is my Monday post. Hope you can find time to pay a visit.
Lovely collection of flowers and dragonflies!
